Information

Do you remember my death is based on actual interviews conducted by a documentary artist of the victims and perpetrators of the Rwandan genocide, and the process of reconciliation between the two groups. Chloé continues to ignore the pleas of Jean Claude to reconcile after the latter’s involvement in the genocide. However, she decides to finally accept Jean Claude’s apology when he asked for the seventh time. Chu Taeyoung and the actors tell the story verbatim from the text of the interviews they researched. The audience begins to empathize with the tale of a distant land as if it was part of their lives, and start to ponder the true meaning of “reconciliation” that society and individuals need today.
