Written by the acclaimed British playwright Dawn King, Ciphers is a play about the inherent problems of the systems generated by contemporary society. Having become an intelligence officer by chance, Justine pursues after a terrorist suspect. When Justine is later found dead in mysterious circumstances, her sister Kerry begins to uncover the truth behind Justine’s death covered up as a suicide. Shin Jinho garnered attention for his directorial work on the DOOSAN Art LAB 2019 play Paper Human, throughout which Shin dexterously guided the temporal and spatial transitions. Shin strives to challenge the limits of the stage yet again in Ciphers by presenting speedy transitions in time and space surrounding a single case.
