Information

Kings of the Road 2002 is the sequel of Kings of the Road 1980 and takes place in 2002, 20 years since the events of the original play. It is a bilingual play featuring the story of Japanese and Korean travelers during their stay in Istanbul, Turkey. The play depicts multiple generations of Japan and Korea who are experiencing an identity crisis amid the rapid changes in the global environment. The play was jointly produced and written by Sung Kiwoong, the Creator Nurturing Programme Artist of Doosan Art Center, and Hirata Oriza, the author of the original play. The play will be performed at Space111 upon completion of its performance schedule in Japan.
