The role and influence of exhibition space design is increasingly becoming more important. In this DOOSAN Curator Workshop, exhibition designer Catherine S. Lee was invited to the seminar to talk about the trends in exhibition space design in Korea and abroad, and the relationship and role between the curator and the exhibition space designer. The seminar explored the diverse case studies of the exhibition space designs that Lee researched for this discussion. In addition, various conversations were held on what it means for an exhibition design to be reinforced or excessive, and what role the exhibition design plays as a means for the audience to experience the environment aside from the works. Focusing on the correlation between the role of the curatorial and the exhibition design, the participants at the DOOSAN Curator Workshop were able to receive practical advices on co-curating their exhibition coming up in January 2020.
