The 7th seminar looked at the exhibitions organized by the independent curator Jaewon Choi, and discussed the potential and methodology of exhibitions that integrate different genres. The three participants also had the opportunity to discuss their joint exhibition coming up in January 2018.

The seminar began with Choi’s explanation on the exhibition 2017 Art Sonje Project #5: Choi Chan Sook- Re-move at Art Sonje Center, as well as the composition and content of lectures that took place in extension of the exhibition.  The exhibition-related lectures focused on the subject of hybrid identity, talking about hybridity issues in science and technology, and presented research on women oppressed in the history of science and technology. Choi also talked about her experiences with her exhibitions, lectures and hands-on workshops, as well as the Curating international diaspora forum, at Art Center Nabi. The seminar shed light on Choi’s curatorial practice and exhibition methodology which traverses across various categories and ideas including science, technology and post-human, and offered an opportunity for the three participating curators to share their ideas and opinions on the subject of their collaborative exhibition project.
