CARTHAGE is based on real-life experiences of British playwright Chris Thompson who lived as a social worker to protect young criminals and children for 12 years. Born in prison, Tommy spent an unstable childhood in probation office. One day, Tommy faces a sudden death, and his last moment is recorded on CCTV. But no one, including the social worker, the prison guard, or even his mother can talk about Tommy's death easily. Jinho Shin focuses on works that center on social systems and social ethics. Through his plays, Shin communicates with the audience about the contradictory events that are happening in our society.
