A genre inspired by folk songs, Mi-nyo is a genre specifically created by the traditional singer Seung-tae Shin. This work attempts to find the possibility of Mi-nyo, which is definitely similar to popular folk songs, but cannot be found anywhere. Duitjerm is an after-party for various miscellaneous gods with many stories who came to a Gut(Shamanistic ritual) after the end of the main ceremony of the 12 Geori (a unit for counting one procedure of a Gut) Gut and all the guests have left. Therefore, Duitjerm is more private and straightforward. Through the form of Duitjerm Gut, Seung-tae Shin finds with, humor and lyrics that can be communicated in the contemporary age, and combines it with Gyeonggi folk songs. The humor and satire in the Mi-nyo lyrics produced in the past connect to our lives today, through Shin’s music of wit and contemporary interpretations that demonstrate his unique individuality.
