Theatre group Seongbukdong Beedoolkee has previously offered sharp and critical insight into modern society with works such as Death of a Salesman, Maids, and Media On Media, and now turns to the Korean classic “Story of Chunhyang” in seeking a motif. The homophone “Yeol” in the title does not refer to chastity (烈), but the number ten (十) to represent all fantasies about women with the integral number ‘10’. The various images conveyed by the character of Chunhyang are depicted in omnibus format through 10 scenes.
