Jung uses various objects, mainly electronic products, as the material for her work. For Jung, electronic products are a technology that’s easily accessible and available in our everyday life, as well as important objects that reflect the environment and structure of our lives. Her work interprets the form, texture, physical functions, services and contents of such electronic products, not from the existing point of view of utility, but from a different perspective. Jung has held 5 solo exhibitions including Strange Season (Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, 2019), Smart New World (The Reference, 2018), Unsmart Objects (Outside, 2017), and has participated in many group shows including Media Field (Seoul National University Museum of Art, 2016), Lab.30 – Klang Kunst Experimente (Kulturhaus BAbraxas, 2016), and Young Sculptors Exhibition (Kim Chong Yung Museum, 2008), etc. Jang has partaken in residency programs at Gyeonggi Creation Center (Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation, 2019), and K’ARTS Studio (Korea National University of Arts, 2017).
