Jang majored in Design at Goldsmiths, University of London, UK. His works focus on social prejudice and discrimination, and the possibility of misunderstanding or mutual understanding as an outcome. Jang considers prejudice between humans caused by various reasons to be a problem of distorted perception and cognition inherent in subconsciousness, and attempts to resolve or solve it in the context of technology and art. In order to do so, Jang focuses on media experiments, interactions, and archives, and makes various attempts to enter the stage of contemplation or sensing through the method of 'thinking (objectively) like a machine'. Jang has participated in graphic design projects such as The Multi-Layered Topographic Map on Culture Breeding, Individual History, Facing Face and Virtual Visual, and has shown his work in exhibitions such as Hyphen at Goldsmiths and Behind Mask: Cooperation Possibility of Ambivalent Data Collection and Utilization at Interaction Seoul in 2017. Jang currently works as a creator at Hyundai Motor’s Open Innovation platform ZERO1NE.
