‘Dinosaur and Dino Sis’
Dinosaur and Dino Sis begins with Jae-young, a woman who constantly grapples with self-destructive thoughts. She has an older sister, Dinosaur, who lives on the 'borderline' between typical cognitive ability and intellectual disability. With a craving desire for free fall, Jae-young lives always holding her breath. One day, at the moment of crisis, she suddenly arrives in another world, Trash Island, and is saved by her sister Dinosaur. Their journey unfolds as they find Dinosaur's canine tooth, hidden like a fallen star. The play is a story of Dinosaur, but the narrative is told through the perspective and interpretation of Jae-young, who has lived with her for a long time. Encountering this voice of 'the one living at the border.' audiences join a journey of ‘speaking for’ others in order to ‘speak for oneself’.
