< Before After > was supported by the 2015 Doosan Art Center Artists Incubator Program. At its premier, the play was praised as a new experimental outcome with a theatrical composition which begins with the individual and a timely subject matter and expands to a universal social issue. Focusing on a contemporary issue, Lee, Kyung Sung created this play through his research on the history of space, media, and the body. The title ‘Before After’ alludes to the division of time which signifies the changes that take place before and after a certain event. Lee, Kyung Sung’s Before After was selected ‘Top 3 Plays of 2015’ by International Association of Theatre Critics-Korea, and also received ‘Best New Director’ at the Korea Theater Awards in 2015.
